Biography
Debra F McLaughlin, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor with the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) and Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Her doctorate degree is in Neuroscience and her undergraduate degree is in Physics. At UMUC, Dr. McLaughlin directs the Natural Sciences and Environmental Management programs. She is in charge of faculty staffing, online and classroom course development, student learning outcomes assessment, and curriculum development. As Science Director, she coordinates communications with remote faculty and utilizes current technologies to facilitate distance relationships among faculty, students, and UMUC staff.
