Deb Morley
Biography
Deb Morley is the Director of the Wolfgram Memorial Library at Widener University. At Widener, Deb serves as a creative and energetic leader of the Library as well as passionate champion of its staff and resources. She partners with her knowledgeable and dedicated team of faculty librarians and library staff, and others at Widener to affirm the Library’s position as the center of intellectual and scholarly activity on campus that advances teaching, learning, and research. Deb serves on the Vice President of Library and Information Services’ leadership team and the Provost’s Council, working closely with the deans to advance the University’s academic mission.
Prior to joining Widener, Deb served as Director of Data & Digital Stewardship at Drexel University (2016-2018), Head of Reference and Instructional Services at University of Delaware Library (2014-2016), Head of Specialized Content and Services at MIT Libraries (2011-2013), Director of Information Technology Services at Harvard College Library (2002-2011) and has also held other positions in higher education and industry. A native of Ohio, Deb holds an MLIS from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MS and BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Ohio University. She is a Frye (Leading Change) Fellow, class of 2003.
