Biography

Deb Perry has dedicated her career to public higher education. As an instructional designer, she considers herself a student advocate. She began her career as a skeptic of online education, but as the technology tools for communicating, collaborating and interacting online improved, she discovered a delight in online teaching. From facilitating an ACUE course on Effective Online Teaching Practices to designing and facilitating San Francisco State’s own Online Teaching Lab, her work is faculty-driven and research-informed, curious and collaborative. Deb received her BA and MA in History from San Francisco State University and would like to teach a class on the awesome future.
