Deborah's professional expertise is in relationship management, communication, customer service, vendor management and strategic planning. She joined Colleges of the Fenway in February of 2011 with the primary responsibility of helping the colleges work together strategically and contractually to enhance services and save money. On an annual basis over 2 million dollars is saved as a result of theise efforts. She manages the area network and supervises 3 shared positions for the consortium; Director of Emergency Preparedness, Director of Environmental Health and Safety and Information Security Officer. Previously she ran a newly created and successful market research division of a Demand Generation company for 5 years that was focused primarily on the IT industry. Prior to that she enjoyed her role at John Hancock as a member of the governance team and as the Chief of Staff to the CTO, as a Dean of Continuing Education at Bay State College and Chief Academic Officer at New England College of Business and Finance.
At its core, collaboration of any kind relies on timing, trust, and opportunity to succeed, as Emmanuel College and the Massachusetts College of Art and Design demonstrated when colocating their data centers off campus.
