Biography

Debbie Goldwater is the Chief Business Officer in UCLA’s Information Technology Services department. She is responsible for managing all department administration functions including the department’s annual operating and capital budget, consisting of multiple funding sources, of more than $70 million annually. She is currently leading the department effort to transition running IT like a business by redefining the IT service catalog, capturing the fully burdened costs for services, developing rates, and a chargeback model. This effort will enable the department to evaluate current service offerings and allow customers to make informed purchase decisions. Debbie has over 18 years of experience in IT budget and finance in high education and an additional 12 years’ experience as a VP for Wells Fargo Bank in retail banking. Debbie has experience in facilitating training sessions, presenting to University constituents, and to the Canadian government.
