Biography
I am a mother of two wonderful children with a full time job in IT in the Enterprise Systems Department within the Office of Information Technology as a Senior Application Administrator supporting AU's production systems: UIWeb, Colleague, the portal (myAU and my), WWW, and the content management system. I work with many groups within OIT to achieve results, implement technology and support our existing software. As part of those efforts I have worked as a project manager or technical lead on many projects, implemented various applications, and have helped build our IT infrastructure. I represent American University's position on Technology as co-chair American University's Content Provider Committee with the Director of Web Communications, University Communications and Marketing. In 2011 and 2012, I was the co-chair of Datatel User Group's Information Subcommitee where I represented AU's position on Technology and served as a conduit for the technology concerns for larger Datatel user community. In my spare time, I have been the Vice President of the White Oak Middle School PTA, the camping certified parent for my daughter's Girl Scout Troop, the Event Chair for multiple PTA events at my children's school, and an enthusiastic fan of my children's athletic pursuits.
