Biography

Dennis Guillette serves as the Director of Security Engineering and Operations and Security Architect at the University of South Florida (USF). In this role, he is responsible for leading the university's Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) program and overseeing the design and implementation of security architectures and technical controls that protect institutional systems, data, and research assets. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, he serves as Adjunct Faculty for USF's Information Assurance and Cybercrime programs, where he helps prepare the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

With more than 30 years of experience in Information Technology, Dennis has held a wide range of technical and leadership positions spanning software development, systems support, and cybersecurity. For the past 25 years, his primary focus has been information security, where he has developed deep expertise in cyber investigations, digital forensics, incident response, and the collection and analysis of cyber evidence. Throughout his career, he has worked with a diverse set of technologies and security platforms, enabling him to address complex security challenges across enterprise environments.

Beyond his university responsibilities, Dennis is an active contributor to the broader cybersecurity community. He regularly speaks at conferences, workshops, and industry events on a variety of technical and security-related topics, sharing practical insights and advancing cybersecurity awareness among professionals, students, and community organizations. His commitment to education, outreach, and knowledge sharing reflects his dedication to strengthening cybersecurity capabilities both within higher education and throughout the wider community.
