Biography
Deone Zell is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Management at California State University, Northridge. Prior, she served as Associate Vice President of Academic Technology at California State University, Northridge after joining Information Technology first as the Director of the Faculty Technology Center and then Senior Director for Academic Technology. Before that she served as professor of management in the David Nazarian College of Business & Economics, where she also served as interim director for graduate programs. Prior positions include project manager for the UCLA Vice Chancellor's Office of Research and coordinator on a 4-year large-scale study of organizational innovation inside Fortune 500 companies sponsored by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. She is the author of three books and numerous articles on the topics of organizational change and innovation. Originally trained as an industrial anthropologist, she holds a Master's in higher education and a Ph.D. in research methods from UCLA.
