Biography

Devayani Tirthali is an Educational technologist, researcher, and evaluator with 10+ years experience in higher education. She has a Doctorate in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Her research interests are: lifelong learning, informal learning and social media, Massive Open Online Courses, ethnography of education. Her recent co-authored book, MOOCs in Higher Education: Institutional Goals and Paths Forward, is listed on therecently published Choice 'Outstanding Academic Titles 2016' list by American Library Association. As Instructional Designer at Brown she offers consultations to faculty on purposeful use of technology for teaching and learning; works as a liason for faculty and CIS; design and implement campus wide surveys, focus groups, and evaluations.
