Biography

Dr. Dhananjay Singh is a Teaching Professor at the College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST), Penn State University – University Park. He is a globally recognized researcher in the fields of the Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensor networks, edge computing, and cyber-physical systems. His research focuses on building intelligent, secure, and energy-efficient networked systems with applications in smart cities, environmental monitoring, and healthcare.

Dr. Singh holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from VBS Purvanchal University, an M.Tech. in Information Technology from IIIT-Allahabad, and a Ph.D. in Ubiquitous IT from Dongseo University, South Korea. He has held faculty and research positions at Saint Louis University (USA), Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (South Korea), Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute (ETRI), and the National Institute of Mathematical Sciences.

His work has received multiple Best Paper Awards at international IEEE conferences and has been published in prestigious journals including IEEE Access and ACM Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies. He serves as an Editorial Board Member for PLOS One and is a Book Series Editor for Blockchain Technology at Springer Nature.

Dr. Singh has led and co-led several national and international research projects, including initiatives funded by NRF (Korea), CAPES (Brazil), and NGI Sargasso (Europe). His current research integrates HCI, and AI/ML in IoT systems for healthcare monitoring, Intelligent Vehicle, emission sustainability in agriculture, and generative AI in classroom pedagogy.

With over two decades of academic and research experience, Dr. Singh continues to mentor students and contribute to interdisciplinary innovation. His commitment to advancing secure and intelligent digital ecosystems has made a lasting impact across academia, industry, and society.
