Diana Voss

Biography

I am the Director of Academic Technologies for Stony Brook University’s Division of  Information Technology. I have a B.S. in Information Systems from Stony Brook University and an M.S. in Information Technology from NYIT. 

I am the Institutional Representative for NERCOMP & SUNY Fact 2 and am an alumna of the Educase Learning Technology Leadership Program.  My team members from the program and I have worked on projects since that event and presented together at ELI 2019. 

Recent accomplishments include:  core team member on SUNY Wide project to implement a new digital learning environment for all of SUNY (Brightspace) and the Project lead for Stony Brook University transition from Blackboard (25 years) to Brightspace. 

I work with internal teams to improve service management, decrease risk by applying change management principles, increase student employee career competencies, and provide access to academic technology to improve student success.  

Always interested in any projects related to student success, I represent DoIT across the campus at interdivisional meetings.

Committee work includes: the Provost’s Academic Success Team, the Micro-credential taskforce, the President’s ADA committee, Digital Accessibility Steering committee,  and the Dean of Students Leadership Council.  

I am the proud recipient of the 2022 Student Life Award from the Division of Student Affairs & the  2020/21 SUNY chancellor's award.

My academic service includes teaching Women in Leadership courses for WISE, Faculty Sponsor for all DoIT internships, & teaching Graduate & Undergraduate courses for Technology & Society.   

Conference, Colloquiume and Keynote Presentations include: Leadership, Stake Holder Management, Service Management,  Change Management  at various conferences as well.
