Biography
Dr. Diane Bender is an Assistant Professor in the School of Design at Arizona State University. Diane has experience in many of the design professions, including Interior Design, Facility Management, Landscape Architecture, and Building Construction. Before coming to ASU, Diane was instrumental in developing a series of highly specialized technology courses for students and practicing professionals at Michigan State University.
She is interested in research involving the implementation of technology in design practice and pedagogy. Current projects include the integration of distance education methodologies in design education, the recognition of classroom technology implementation in the faculty reward system, and the effective assessment of the digital design portfolio.
