Diane Zorn

Diane Zorn is a Course Director in the Philosophy/Modes of Reasoning Program at the School of Arts and Letters, York University, Toronto, where she teaches Modes of Reasoning, Philosophy of Education, Business Ethics and Ethics of Administration. She also teaches Corporate Social Responsibility at the School of Administrative Studies and is Course Coordinator for Applied Business Ethics at York’s Schulich School of Business. She designs, implements and teaches fully online, rich media courses using Mediasite technology and audio and video podcasting. Her student-centered, radically interactive course design is based on her “enactive” approach to educational theory. Her approach to online education allows students to customize their learning and learn on the go in reciprocally evolving and adaptive learning environments. Accounts of her pedagogy, course design and use of teaching technologies have been reported on CBC Radio, CTV News, Toronto Sun, Metro News, 680 News Radio and in other media. She was awarded York’s University Wide Teaching Award in 2007. She has been nominated for the Ontario Council of Universities 2006 Teaching with Technology Award and the Atkinson Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching 2007.
