Biography
After 20 years at Michigan Technological University, Richard (Dickie) Selfe now consults across the College of Humanities on instructional technology projects and designs support systems for teachers in 17 Ohio State departments. His interests lie at the intersection of communication pedagogies, programmatic curricula, and the social/institutional influences of digital systems. His most recent book-length project is entitled Sustainable Communication Practices: Creating a Culture of Support for Technology-rich Education. Selfe's recent publications also include “Teacher Quality: The perspectives of NCTE members” (forthcoming) in English Education and Innovative Approaches to Technical Communication Pedagogy (2004, author/co-editor).
