Dinesh Bahal
Biography
Dinesh Bahal has over 17 years of experience in the high technology area. His experience includes working in technology consulting (both technology planning as well as implementation), marketing and various management roles. In his current assignment with Sun Microsystems as Director of Business Development for Higher Education and Research - he is responsible for creating the strategy and managing the partner relationship to create solutions for Academic Enterprise and Scientific & Research Computing.Prior to this he was part of Sun's Europe, Middle East & Africa operations where he was responsible for helping position and implement Sun's network computing model in key enterprise accounts as well as in establishing Sun's presence in high-growth, emerging markets in Southern Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Mr. Bahal also has extensive experience in technology related consulting with KPMG Peat Marwick. While with KPMG, he worked with numerous organizations in process innovation, technology strategy development, software and hardware selection and the management of large technology implementation projects.
Dinesh has also worked in the publishing and media industries. He was founding editor of Computers & Communications (now ComputerWorld India) and has published a book on careers in the technology industry.
Mr. Bahal has a Bachelor's Degree in Science and an MBA.
