Doug Higgins

Biography

Over the past five years, Douglas (Doug) Higgins has explored the use of emerging technologies (e.g., unmanned aerial systems, 3D scanning, modeling, and printing, etc.) to support teaching, learning, and research in higher education. Doug is currently an Instructional Designer at Hamilton College, a liberal arts institution located in upstate New York. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University at Buffalo, a Masters of Science in Adolescence Education from Utica College, and Graduate Professional Development Certificate in Instructional Design from the University of Wisconsin – Stout. With over 10 years of teaching experience in the secondary and collegiate levels, he has combined pedagogy with technology through a variety of applications.
