BiographyIn his role as a member of the Annandale Provost's executive staff, Braddlee provides leadership to critical functions for the campus, and participates in College-wide strategic and policy development, implementation, and evaluation activities. Campus areas reporting to him include the library, testing/assessment center, and other related units including computer labs, tutoring services, academic support centers, faculty professional or instructional development support, web services, instructional technology training, and educational technology fund purchasing. His professional interests include Open Education, student technology fluency, faculty development, online and blended learning, and diversity.
He has 20 years of higher education experience with libraries, technology integration and support for teaching and learning. He holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunications from Indiana University, Bloomington, an M.A. in Radio-Television-Film from The University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. In 2006, he was selected as a Fellow for the Frye Institute.
Prior to NOVA, he has served in a range of positions, including Dean of Libraries, Academic Technology and Online Learning for Mercy College (NY), Director of Academic Technology and the Pottruck Technology Resource Center at Simmons College, Director of Academic Computing for Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, Nevada, and Graduate Faculty in the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he was also the first Director of the University's New Media Center.
He has been Chair of the NERCOMP Board of Trustees (2009-2011), and previously served as Chair of the organizationÃƒÂ‚Ã‚Â€ÃƒÂ‚Ã‚Â™'s Annual Conference and Special Interest Group Committees. He presently serves on the Nominations Committee.
