Biography

Dustin DeBrum currently manages the Enterprise Applications division of Information Technology Services (ITS) at Cal Poly.  As the lead for campus-wide applications, he is responsible for the secure and stable performance of systems critical to the teaching and learning mission of the University, while also developing strategies to improve the use of technology in higher education.  His career includes 15 years with Cal Poly Corporation, supporting campus and California State University (CSU) commercial operations.  Before Cal Poly, DeBrum worked for multiple dot-com companies in Silicon Valley.

In addition to his extensive experience, DeBrum has worked on various CSU technology projects.  He has presented at CSU workshops and conferences on technology disability policy, application development workflow, and credit card security (PCI DSS).  DeBrum received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Twentieth-Century Science & Technology History with a minor in Values, Technology, & Society from San Jose State University and his Masters of Education in Educational Leadership & Administration from Cal Poly.
