Ed Deckard

Biography

Dr. Edward Deckard, Professor in Plant Sciences at North Dakota State University, enhances student learning through advanced technologies and student-centered strategies in several courses. He has received several teaching awards including the 2007 Blue Key Doctor of Service Award, 2005 Peltier Award for Innovative Teaching, 2005 Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Technology, 2004 National Case Study of 12 Exemplary Teachers, 2001 Robert Odney Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the 2001 Blue Key Distinguished Educator Award. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind., and his doctorate from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
