Biography
Mr. Ed Evans leverages collaborative organizational change to cultivate a digital future through his role as Senior Associate Vice President for Information Technology & CIO at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Under his leadership, TAMU-CC information technology has launched a strategic plan focused on replacing manual processes with digital practices that accelerate innovation. TAMU-CC’s digital transformation empowers teaching and learning, enhances research, connects campus, heightens information security, and strengthens operational credibility.
After completing a Bachelor of Science degree at Texas A&M University, Mr. Evans earned two Master of Science degrees from Purdue University where he worked for nearly twenty years prior to moving to South Texas. Mr. Evans is a Prosci Certified Change Practioner & Trainer, an EDUCAUSE/CLIR Leading Change Fellow, and is active in organizations such as Texas LEARN Board of Directors, XSEDE Campus Champions, and advisory boards for Laserfiche and Blackboard. In his free time, he serves as a 4-H leader and is active in his children’s school.
