Ed Melchior
Biography
Ed Melchior leads the data practice at UW-Milwaukee. His area includes the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions SIS application development and administration, all data warehouse functions, and the departmental and enterprise database practice. His additional responsibilities include working with others at the UW System level in the Business Intelligence area, leading the UWM BI implementation initiative, working with other UWM departments in reporting and BI initiatives, and participating in the requirements management practice in the central IT function at UWM. Prior to his present position, Ed was the Chief Process Architect at UWM, where he led the requirements management and project management practice. Prior to that, Ed was a Lead Information Systems Auditor at UWM and at Johnson Controls. Ed has also been a technology manager for networking, desktop support, and office automation at several universities. He also was responsible for the full management of a large residential complex at Indiana University - Bloomington. Ed has an M.S. in Student Personnel Administration from Central Missouri State University (now University of Central Missouri), and a B.S. in Computer Science and Human Services from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. He has worked professionally at UW-Oshkosh, Central Missouri State University, Indiana University, UW-Whitewater, and Johnson Controls Inc.EDUCAUSE Presentations
