Elisabeth came to UCF from Montclair State University where she was Technology Services Coordinator to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Technical Services. Elisabeth was brought on at Course Development and Web Services in the summer of 2006 to develop training and technical support services for the faculty and staff of UCF using online courses during the transition from WebCT CE 4 to Vista 4. Her first action was to establish the Instructional Technology Group and hire and train Instructional Technology Assistants to provide phone and email support, as well as training assistance. Since then, the unit has absorbed student support for online courses and course development assistance for faculty who have completed professional development tracks for online courses. Now directly under the Center for Distributed Learning, [email protected] Support is a one-stop shop for training and support related to the LMS, lecture capture system, mobile support, and learning technology integrations used institutionally at UCF. With three full-time lines, two full-time OPS, and five part-time student employees, in Fall 2012 UCF came full circle and migrated to Instructure's Canvas, beginning the cycle over again.
