Throughout my career, I have strived to resolve issues that influence cybersecurity to achieve meaningful change and integration of the technical and business layers within the organizations served. My diverse background in government, public health, research, and higher education has served to enhance my understanding of the importance of cross-functional integration and communication across an organization. I continually strive to strengthen and grow my knowledge and skills to meet emerging cybersecurity challenges. It is a real real pleasure working with the NC State Security and Compliance team, helping people solve their problems and meet their goals and objectives. When not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and hiking with my Treeing Walker Hound Piper.
As the role of higher education evolves, cybersecurity approaches must adapt. By collaboratively reexamining the cross-functional ecosystem that supports cybersecurity, higher education leaders and cybersecurity professionals can better align risk, security, business, and technology efforts with institutional strategic goals.
