Biography

Emily is spearheading Red Hat's efforts to grow the technical workforce of the future by creating and scaling workforce development programs. Leveraging her ten years’ experience in workforce development, Emily is skilled in building community-based education ecosystems that bring together industry, employers, and educators. She is passionate about increasing diversity and representation in the technical sector by making technical skills training accessible and attractive to anyone who wants to get started in a technical career field. Currently, she is focused on Linux training through Red Hat’s Training and Certification Programs and is partnering with colleges and universities across the country to create innovative training programs for the non-traditional learner. Innovation happens best in diverse, open spaces and Emily is on a mission to create those spaces.
