Emily Ligon
Biography
Over the past ten years, I have focused on digital media and educational technology. I have worked in higher education as an instructor and instructional designer, software development as a content integration specialist and instructional designer, and publishing as a sales representative, digital technology consultant and trainer, and engagement specialist. All of these positions have related directly to my passion for teaching and technological innovation. Additionally, I have researched communication methods for public audiences, design of space and place, and user interface design. Currently, I am an Engagement Specialist with Cengage Learning. I focus on creating innovative solutions in partnership with 2-year and 4-year higher education institutions to meet the unique needs of those students, faculty, and administration. I also consult with faculty on how to integrate Cengage Learning solutions into their courses in a way that meets their instructional challenges and provides a pedagogically strong foundation for student learning. In addition, I facilitate and provide events that focus on innovative teaching methods and the use of technology to support higher education learning.EDUCAUSE Presentations
