Biography
Eric Hill joined SMU in 2005 as an Information Security Engineer, becoming the second member of the University's Information Security department. His responsibilities include security strategy and operations, security architectures, policy and compliance, risk assessment, and emergency management. Some of Eric's recent and current projects include the design and implementation of a campus-wide zoned security architecture, the establishment of a secondary site to be used for emergency communications, and the gathering of requirements and planning for a new Data Center design initiative. Eric holds the (isc)2 CISSP and SANS GSEC certifications, and earned a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems and International Business from Baylor University.
