Biography

Erin Maney is the Manager of Community Engagement & Communications for SUNY Online, part of the State University of New York. Ms. Maney has a 20+ year history serving as an instructional designer, faculty developer, corporate trainer, and director of online learning.

Erin Maney has worked for community colleges, universities, and technical college systems in Wisconsin and Florida before returning to her home in Upstate NY. She also has experience in K-12 education as an English teacher. After leaving the traditional classroom, she served in many roles supporting educators in K-12, at-risk youth facilities, and technical and career high schools. She continues to teach developmental writing courses and college orientation seminars as an adjunct instructor.

She received her bachelor’s degree in K-12 English Education from Keuka College and her master’s degree in Liberal Studies from Nazareth College. She is also a published author of a memoir and a children’s book.
