Erin Yarbrough


Erin Yarbrough is a graduate of The University of Oklahoma where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (Advertising). Prior to working at OU, Erin managed brand campaigns and marketing operations in Dallas. She has a background in web marketing, business development and project management. As director for Web Communications, she works to market and communicate OU to target audiences on the web with projects such as iTunes U, social media, video, OU homepage, campus calendar, campus map, mobile apps, content management strategies, department websites and accessibility. OU Web Communications sets standards for usability and branding for the web. They work to tailor the OU homepage to reflect the interests of prospective students, alumni, and visitors while creating new avenues of communication for all phases of the student (prospects to current students to alumni). Through social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, Web Communications works to create strategies and communities for communicating with OU audiences. While video has always been an important piece of the Web Communications portfolio, new tools and resources create unique opportunities for higher quality and new ways to tell the OU story. This is even more present in the creation of an iTunes U team within Web Communications to create high-quality videos for education and enrichment in order to highlight the OU programs of excellence and promote life-long learning.
