Ethan Sommer
Biography
Ethan Sommer is currently Associate Director of Core Services at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN. He atteneded Carleton College where he earned a degree in Computer Science and worked for both ITS in Systems and Networking and the department of Math and Computer Scince as an Assistant Systems Administrator. Following college he worked for IBM in Raliegh, NC in the xSeries Systems group developing systems management software. While at Gustavus he has worked on many innovative projects including an open source IPTV system for broadcast HDTV channels, wireless VoIP, using open source software to build an enterprise wireless infrastructure using consumer APs, a netreg system, and a scalable IMAP mail infrastructure.EDUCAUSE Presentations
