Biography
She is a professor of basic level English, and intermediate level Computer Assisted Academic Writing at the University of Puerto Rico. She has also provided basic English for business courses at an international biochemical company in Puerto Rico through the College of General Studies, and directed a Student Support Services program. Further, she teaches online graduate courses at Fairfield University in Connecticut in linguistics, sociolinguistics, and communication in a second/foreign language. Her PhD in applied linguistics to education and MA in TESOL are from the University of Connecticut (UCONN). She also has a Sixth Year Degree from UCONN on educational administration. She has lived, worked and studied in Connecticut, Washington, DC, Greece, Barbados, and Puerto Rico, as well as in many other island/countries in the Caribbean. She is presently interested in research on online communication in language teaching and learning.
