Faivish Pewzner is a well-organized and challenge-driven chief operating officer of The Americare Companies. In the society he is recognized for being a person with extensive expertise in the medical industry.

This Brooklyn native was born 1956. In the years following his graduation from Brooklyn college, he realized himself as a dynamic and results-driven professional. Pewzner is skilled at providing superior customer service, while creating a distinguished career by leading the clinical operations within Americare. Among the colleagues he is regarded as a highly qualified professional with a passion for patient safety and quality.

His consistent contributions in the developing programs, managing budgets and ensuring regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment bring satisfaction both to clients and the management of the company. During the 21 years spent as Executive Vice President/COO of Americare, Pewzner has demonstrated his ability in leveraging in-depth knowledge of quality improvement in order to overcome challenges while continually achieving positive clinical outcomes. His repeated success as a motivational team builder is seen through the advancement of Americare's staff training. This is a mark of a true leader, capable of building positive connections with patients and staff at all levels. Today, his approach is well-accepted as way of accomplishing a wide breadth and depth of organizational objectives.

Faivish Pewzner currently works the regional chief operating officer of The Americare Companies, Brooklyn, NY. This multihospital company has annual revenues of $200 million, and he is directly responsible for the operational management of its 6 member hospitals that are providing services throughout the New York City and surrounding areas - Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Long Island, Staten Island, Westchester, Rockland, & more. All these facilities provide over 500 beds.

In an interview, he stated that his accomplishments thus far are extensive:

- converted two hospitals from county ownership to ownership over a 12-month period;

- established a purchasing program for the entire system that resulted in $2 million in first-year savings;

- implemented insurance programs for the entire system in the interest of uniformity;

- conducted several CONs, which led to substantial expansion of Americare facilities.

Prior to moving to Brooklyn, Mr. Pewzner served as the executive director of one of Americare hospitals in North Brunswick, NJ. As a result of his efforts, the company regained two-year accreditation soon after his arrival. In addition, he developed Americare’s first financial, personnel, and capital equipment budgets, as well as improved the hospital’s financial performance from an operating loss in the mid-1990s to four years of successive improvements.

As COO, he developed a physician recruitment program that added many physicians to our medical staff. Mr. Pewzner entered the health care administration field after completing his Master of Health Administration at The George Washington University in US capital. Through his membership in the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Hospital Association, and the Florida Hospital Association, he actively participates in the ongoing issues with home care sector.

Outside of his work Pewzner is involved in activities which include playing tennis and golf.
