Farhan Hasan

Biography

Farhan Hasan is currently working at Northwestern University as a Manager of Consulting & Project Office which is a division of central IT Department. Farhan and his staff provide guidance and assistance to Northwestern University Departments on technology acquisitions (IT contracts review/negotiations), business analysis, project management, and quality assurance/testing services. Farhan has held various technical and functional positions over the past fifteen (15) years in Information Technology. Before joining Northwestern University, Farhan worked as a Deputy Director of Information Technology at the Chicago Park District where he served for seven (7) years from 2001 through 2008. He developed and managed strategic plans for computer networks expansion, enterprise resource planning, corporate website, and other strategic projects. Prior to joining the Chicago Park District, Farhan has held various technical team lead positions in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems at various fortune 500 companies such as Amoco Corporation (1996 – 1997), Hitachi Corporation (1997 – 1999), and Takeda Pharmaceuticals (1999-2001). Farhan graduated from University of Illinois with a degree in Management Information Systems. Outside of professional interests, he enjoys any sporting activity but especially enjoys going to the Park with his two (2) year old son.
