Biography
Ferran Giménez is a professor at the Computer Science department at the Open University of Catalunya (www.uoc.edu). Ferran is also the director of the UOC's Multimedia degree program (www.uoc.edu/gmmd). He is also a staff member of the e-magazine Mosaic (www.uoc.edu/mosaic). Recent projects include Metacampus, Raising European Awareness on e-Learning, an eTEN project by the EC. Ferran completed his Master's degree in Multimedia and Instructional design at the University of San Francisco.
He was an active member of the research group TACEV (treball i aprenentatge col'laboratiu en entorns virtuals). Currently he conducts his research work within the ICSS group (Information and Communication, Sytems and Services) of the Internet, Interdisciplinary, Institute (www.uoc.edu/in3).
