Biography

For more than twelve years, Fraser has been exploring best practices in Pedagogy and helping to ensure faculty and students thoroughly engage in their online courses through smart design. Known for being a good listener, he supports and helps others develop by understanding their current starting point, and meeting them right where they are. In his role as Coordinator of Instructional Design at UMass Amherst, he works closely with faculty to design brand new, Universally Designed courses; most recently he co-designed a HyFlex course in a Multimodal course pilot. He seeks to improve engagement, access, and excitement in online education and emerging technologies and is interested in accessiblilty, gamification, engagement, research, and professional development.
