Fred Damiano

Biography

Fred Damiano is Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Chief Information Officer at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and serves in this dual senior executive role reporting to the President. As Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, he works closely with the senior leadership of the Colleges and the Board of Trustees to identify, explore, evaluate and implement strategic initiatives with significant potential benefits for Hobart and William Smith Colleges. As CIO, he directs and oversees delivery of information technology services to all constituents of the Colleges. Fred brings a unique blend of technology, business and teaching experience to the CIO role. During his 35-year career, he has held a variety of leadership and technology positions with Xerox Corporation, McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Company, and The Travelers Insurance Company. He has also taught graduate courses in advanced information technology for the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester. Fred holds a B.S. in computer information systems from Bentley University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Central Florida.
