Fred Sudler

Biography

Fred Sudler is the Associate Vice President and Associate CIO at Michigan State University.  In addtion to coordinating the day-to-day activities for the central IT organization Fred leads the Cyberinfrastructure efforts and the Federated IT Organization Unit IT Managers (HealthIT, Vetenarian Medicine and Residential Housing).   Fred recently has served as the Chief Operating Officer & Executive Director of Application Services overseeing day to day operations for the Office of the CIO in addition to the enterprise systems landscape which supports the campus community comprised of (administrative, academic and research activities). 

In previous roles, Fred served as an Assistant Dean in the Coggin College of Business at the University of North Florida with responsibility for technology and facilities. Fred later served as Director of Enterprise Systems at University of North Florida and was responsible for all enterprise-wide systems. Some included Ellucian (Banner) ERP Suite, Luminous Portal, Learning Management (Blackboard), Facilities Management (FAMIS), BI & Reporting (Cognos), and Advancement (Blackbaud Raisers Edge).

Prior to his roles in higher education, Fred was a Technology Manager at Price Waterhouse in Jacksonville, Florida, and served honorably in the U.S Navy on board the USS Sampson DDG10 at Mayport, Florida.
