Biography
Gabe Gibson is the Director of Technical Services for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he plays a leadership role in Information Technology (IT) strategic planning, governance, and policy & procedures for one of the the largest academic units and for several campus initiatives. Current efforts include: helping lead Applied Technologies for Learning in the Arts & Sciences (ATLAS); serving as a member of the Academic Mobility Advisory Group (AMAG) which governs the campus-wide wireless upgrade; and participating in a set of campus-wide initiatives to reduce duplication and run IT services at scale. Gabe is an alumnus of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale with a Master of Science in Management Information Systems at the University of Illinois at Springfield.
