Biography
Dr. Guest is the Director of Predoctoral Dental Clinics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. Dr. Guest chaired the Dental School's Information Systems Committee, which has developed strategic planning initiatives for application of computer-based technology in the Dental School including its integration to support the curriculum, where he has been in a leadership role in its implementation. He is the Past Counselor for the American Dental Education Association’s Section for Dental Informatics and was one of the authors of "The Computer-based Oral Health Record, A New Foundation for Oral Health Information Systems". He is also a member of the American Dental Association's Standards Committee on Dental Informatics. Dr. Guest’s role as a faculty member includes directing several predoctoral didactic and clinical courses in the areas of Oral Diagnosis and Treatment Planning, Patient Management, and Computers in Dentistry.
