Biography
Gary Skaggs, a native Oklahoman, has worked for and with both University and Federal organizations for over 20 years in the areas of Information Technology, Weather Research, and technology. Since 2001, Gary has been a member of the NOAA Networking Committee which advises the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration CIO's Council on network-related issues. Currently, Gary is the Manager for Research Campus Information Technology, as well as, Operations Manager of the National Weather Center Network Operations Center located on the Norman Campus of the University of Oklahoma.
The University Research Campus currently includes more than 30 Affiliate organizations with interests ranging from Bioengineering to Genomics, Robotics, K20 Learning, and a number of corporate research and science-based entities. The National Weather Center is a consortium of University, State, Federal, and Private organizations, all of which are focused on Weather Education, Research, Forecasting, and Operations.
