Biography

I am the Chief Technology Officer for the Office of Technology and  Digital Innovation (OTDI) at The Ohio State University.  My responsibilities include leading the Research and Teaching Technology and Infrastructure Services team.  In that capacity, I oversee enterprise-wide technology services offered by OTDI, including infrastructure, architecture, and end user support, solution engineering, classroom technologies, unified communications, network services, and cloud solutions.  I also serve as fiscal agent for OH-TECH, which includes OhioLINK, OARnet, and the Ohio Supercomputer Center.  Previously, I was the Chief Information Officer of the College of Engineering and Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University.  My responsibilities included developing and implementing the strategy for investing in technology innovations that enable and support the research, teaching and learning, and outreach missions of the college.  I served as teh Interim Deputy CIO for the University within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) where I oversaw enterprise-wide technology services.  I have over 30 years of experience in higher education at two BitTen, Research One, land-grant universities.  I am join owner of the Weaver Family farm, a large, family-owned, dairy operation where I direct the capital investments and oversee the fiscal management.  I currently am a Board member (Vice-Chair) for the USDA Farm Service Agency for the Clinton-Centre Counties and the Centre County Conservation District Board of Directors.

While at Penn State, I led the business building project, the largest academic building on campus and the third biggest classroom building on campus.  The project was completed under budget and one-month earlier than planned timeline.  In addition, I led the University's successful implementaiton of Office 365, reducing 80 plus email solutions into one cloud platform with integrated applications.

My passion is to identify and implement innovative initiatives that have a substantial impact on the academic missions of higher education and to the students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners we serve.
