Biography

Mr. Kemp's department is responsible for the continuous business improvement process at the University of Toronto as well as the strategic direction of the administrative systems at the University. This includes the implementation and support of the SAP R/3 suite of software and the delivery of benefits and services as can be derived. Currently, AMS, in partnership with the Procurement Services Department, has an initiative to implement SAP's Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) software to streamline the procurement processes at the University. This will generate significant dollar savings. But more importantly, it will provide a huge reduction in staff time, particularly with researchers and academics who have administrative responsibilities, allowing them more time for their academic pursuits. Mr. Kemp, has worked in both the private and public sectors. Prior to his appointment at the University of Toronto, he was employed as the Director of Information Technology for the City of Scarborough.
