Gregory Anderson

Biography

Gregory Anderson works as Multimedia Technology Specialist for the Office of Student Computing at the University of Arizona. He has an extensive background in multimedia and OSX server technologies, starting with a degree in Music from Clark University where he studied electroacoustic composition with Linda Dusman and Wes Fuller in the late 1980's, and more recently as Technical Manager at the College of Santa Fe's Contemporary Music Program where, from 1999 through 2006, he managed all technical aspects for the music department. Since 2006, he has been working as Multimedia Technical Specialist for University Information Technology Services (UITS), the University of Arizona's centralized computer services. As Multimedia Technical Specialist, he helps supervise one of the University's multimedia computer labs, located in the Music Department in the College of Fine Arts. He also manages servers that process video and audio for online learning, and supports faculty and students who need to distribute video and audio on-line. He currently heads a team that is pilot testing lecture capture for deployment as a centralized service for the University of Arizona.
