Biography
Hamish Coates conducts higher education research at the Centre for the Study of Higher Education, University of Melbourne, Australia. Hamish's recent projects include development of the nationally administered Australian Course Experience Questionnaire, a review the national student equity policy, development of national policy on university student study abroad and student exchange, and an institutional evaluation of learning management systems. Hamish is a member of the national advisory group on university teaching and learning. His current research focuses on student engagement and learning management systems. Hamish holds a Master of Education in psychometrics and evaluation and is completing his PhD in higher education.EDUCAUSE Publications
