Heath Tuttle is the Director for Learning & Emerging Technologies and Analytics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He coordinates support for the Blackboard learning management system, trains faculty in the area of instructional technology and online pedagogy, and leads UNL's Learning and Emerging Technologies team. He also works extensively with Academic Affairs to manage new technology projects focused on teaching and learning, and growth and retention.
Heath received his B.S. in Secondary Education from Chadron State College, his M.A. in Organizational Communication and Corporate Training from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and his Ph.D. in Educational Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Heath began his career teaching high school social sciences and English, before moving into the corporate training world at Spherion Services. After receiving his M.A., he taught communication studies and corporate training at Northwest Missouri State University. While working on his Ph.D. at UNL, Heath has also worked as an instructional designer for UNL's Online and Distance Education, and as an adjunct instructor for the UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
