Biography

Hong T. Chau is an instructional designer in Academic Technology at Brown University. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Commerce, Organizations, and Entrepreneurship from Brown University and a Masters of Science from Johns Hopkins University School of Education. Hong is a core member of the Instructional Technology Group, engaging the Brown community to make academic technology easily accessible to students and faculty. Some of her recent projects include designing and launching a massive open online course (MOOC), facilitating synchronous global classrooms, and redesigning curriculum to enable active learning. Hong's professional interests include faculty development, maker spaces and fabrication labs, blended learning methodologies, and knowledge management strategies for organizations.
