Biography

Hong Ma is the Head of Library Systems, Senior Associate Dean for User Services at Loyola University Chicago. She plans and provides oversight for the library's technology infrastructure. She oversees library public services and assessment initiatives. Prior to Loyola, she was Information Systems Librarian for the University of Miami libraries.  She is a regular writer and speaker on implementing large-scale digital projects and systems. She has been playing essential roles in ALA Core, and active in ER&L, CNI, and Educause community. Her research interests have been focusing on value stream driven technologies/processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of services and user experiences for academic libraries.
