Hossein Hakimzadeh

Biography

Dr. Hossein Hakimzadeh is an associate professor of Computer Science and Director of Informatics program at Indiana University South Bend. He was the founding chair of the Computer and Information Sciences at IU South Bend, and has extensive background in developing medium and large scale systems. He has lead a number of successful software projects including the development of a multi-lingual word processing software, development of load planning software for use in the paper industry, development of a comprehensive and web-based course evaluation system (IU-EVAL), development of an Intelligent Early Warning and Retention system (IU-RETAIN), development of an alumni system, development of academic advising system, and the design and development of digital signage software. In addition to the above, Dr. Hakimzadeh research interest include database systems, object oriented systems, software engineering, and computer science education.
