Lee Webster

Biography

Lee Webster is the Director for Learning and Production Environments at Georgia State University, a instition known for being a leader in student success. He is a native of Atlanta with a background in both information systems and management. He leads a team of highly skilled technology and education professionals with the goal of delivering a mix of technology and faculty support services. Areas of focus include learning space design, audio/visual engineering, open access technology labs, classroom support, and makerspaces. 

Passionate about the intersection between learning and technology, Lee’s work is built around transformative institutional change for learning space strategy. His work has focused on new educational models and and the shift from teaching to learning in the 21st century. Notable achievements include the launch of a university-wide student makerspace and designing top level classroom portfolios that align with modern teaching strategies. 

Current research interest revolve around the efficacy of specific classroom elements and the performance of students in active learning classrooms. Lee earned his MBA from Kennesaw State University and a bachelors of information technology from Southern Polytechnic State University (now Kennesaw State University).
