Hyunjoo Moon
Biography
Hyunjoo Moon is a second-year doctoral student at Ohio University, specializing in Instructional Technology. With over 11 years of experience, she has a rich background in education, having taught English from elementary to high school levels in South Korea. Currently, she serves as the instructor for an undergraduate course titled "Technological Application in Education" at Ohio University. This course is specifically designed for pre-service teachers, aimed at enhancing their technological knowledge and skill set. During the challenging circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hyunjoo's exceptional teaching abilities and adept management of a hybrid format student club earned her two prestigious Superintendent's Awards. Her dedication to educational excellence was further recognized in 2021 when she received an outstanding leadership award from a professional development group for educators. Hyunjoo is committed to advancing the integration of technology in K-12 education settings. She has demonstrated her commitment by organizing both online and offline seminars for in-service teachers, providing valuable insights and training opportunities. Most recently, she conducted a "ChatGPT workshop" tailored to Korean English teachers, emphasizing her commitment to enhancing the professional development of educators in the field.
