Ignacio Perez


Ignacio is currently an ITS Project Manager with Davenport University. In this role, Ignacio leads teams in the development, coordination and implementation of multiple University cross-functional technology projects and business analysis. Ignacio also guest lecturers on technology management, networking and business leadership topics to university classes. Past roles at Davenport University include telecommunications and network engineering. Prior to joining the University in 2002, Ignacio's industry background includes diverse experiences in manufacturing and skilled trades. Additionally, Ignacio serves in the Air National Guard as a Director of Operations leading technology teams in support of a global mission providing critical support to the U.S. Africa Command. As a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Ignacio was awarded the Presidential Meritorious Service Medal and the Secretary of the Army Commendation Medal for exceptional technology leadership while assigned as a senior information technology officer with an active duty, multi-billion dollar Army logistics organization. Ignacio is currently pursuing an Executive MBA from Davenport University with an expected graduation date of July 2011. Ignacio has earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Networking from Davenport University and an Associates of Applied Science degree from ITT Technical Institute in Computer Network Systems. Additionally Ignacio holds numerous technical certifications including Cisco, CompTIA and ITIL.
